The Story Behind The Little Hippie Boutique

The Story Behind The Little Hippie Boutique

In November of 2021, I made my first post to the world to show my rainbow macrame art, inspired by Genesis 9:13. The rainbow is a symbol of God’s promise to bring hope in all storms of life. Since then, The Little Hippie Boutique has grown larger than I ever could have imagined.

Starting my boutique was a dream that grew from the intersection of my passion for hand-made creations and my discovery of holistic wellness. It wasn’t a straight path—I didn’t wake up one day with a fully-formed business plan in mind. Instead, it was a slow unfolding of personal growth and creative exploration that led me here.

I’ve been captivated by the idea of combining beauty, purpose, and wellness. I’ve always been a creator at heart, drawn to art, crafting, and expression. But as I grew older, I started to feel a deeper longing for balance—not just in my work, but in my life. It was during this search for balance that I discovered holistic wellness, a philosophy that resonated deeply with me.

This is where the idea for my boutique was born. I envisioned a space that would not only offer beautifully curated items—whether they be handmade jewelry, macrame or essential oil blends—but would also serve as a sanctuary for people looking to nourish all aspects of themselves. I wanted to create a place where each item told a story, connected to a larger mission of self-care and holistic living.

Starting the boutique was a leap of faith. It meant trusting my instincts, embracing vulnerability, and taking a chance on something that aligned with my passions and values. But as the business grew, so did my confidence. Every collection, every product, and every interaction with my customers felt like a piece of the puzzle coming together.

Through this journey, I’ve learned that when we follow our hearts and allow our creative passions to lead us, we not only enrich our own lives but can also positively impact others. My boutique is more than just a small business—it’s a reflection of the person I’ve become, the lessons I’ve learned, and the deep belief that wellness and faith work in tandem to nurture your soul and body.

As I continue to grow this business, I’m excited to keep exploring new ways to inspire others to embrace their own creative and holistic journeys. Our goals for the LHB is to continue to stay present in the locations we take residence in; Shoemaker & Hardt, Restoration Marketplace and Wylie Urban Farm & Market, as well as look to expand and find another locations that are also themselves small businesses and lastly, I am looking to grow more digitally savvy and look to make a larger outreach. I can’t wait to jump into 2025 with you all!

With love and light,

Brooke Dryden, Owner and Creator of The Little Hippie Boutique
